- Telecoms and Broadband
The Government is committed to introducing a new Electronic Communications Code in 2017 and to significant investment in the digital economy. The new Code will be of relevance to landowners with telecoms masts and further details will be provided on our blog and in future newsletters.
- An increase in ‘Brexit clauses’ in long term agreements?
It is anticipated that Brexit clauses will become more common in long-term agricultural agreements such as farm business tenancies where parties may be concerned about the potential effect of Brexit on their agreements in particular with regards to subsidies and agri-environmental schemes.
- Employer-provided living accommodation
The government is to publish a consultation on employer-provided living accommodation and a call for evidence on the valuation of other benefits in kind in the 2017 Budget.
Succession issues remain important and 2017 is the time for you to develop a succession plan if you have not already done so!
